Born of a passion for the tourism industry, Its founder Goodman Sithembiso Nkosi, found that there was ample opportunity to not only to sell the Kruger Lowveld region to the world, but in the same breath create much needed employment opportunities for the youth.

Shabalala Interpretation of Culture
During the Covid-19 pandemic, youths formed dance troupes and elders to share African culture. This initiative aims to nurture sustainable tourism and preserve fauna, flora, and wildlife for future generations. Shabalala's residents are delighted, as the center promotes cultural preservation and economic activity.

HISTORY.
The first entry into the tourism space was Inkosi Tours. Following the success and steady growth of the safari and touring arm of the entity, a need was seen to create more tourism products that go beyond the region’s ‘flagship’ attractions. This led to the formation of the much-loved Shabalala Interpretation of Culture Centre at Shabalala Trust, on the road to Kruger National Park’s Phabeni Gate. As safari experiences are well loved and form one the major reasons why the Kruger national Park is visited, the idea came to develop an add on to the typical safari experience. With much persistence, IT Bushbraais was born. As a group fast becoming one of the leading tourism and hospitality role players in the Mpumalanga province, we are constantly looking to improve our services and offerings and make this the premier destination of choice amongst all travelers.

SHABALALA INTERPRETATION OF CULTURE.
The Shabalala Interpretation of Culture is located in the heart of the Kruger Lowveld region’s adventure capital, Hazyview. The center is also a stone throw away from the world-famous Kruger National Park’s Phabeni Gate. We have a focus of preserving heritage and sharing traditions with the world. Through interpretation, storytelling, music, dance and cuisine, one is bound to leave feeling richer. The Centre offers immersive experiences into fascinating cultures of the Zulu, Tsonga, Swati and Sotho tribes. There is also a Marimba band that offers joyful performances reminiscent of days gone by.
